Experience a relaxing escape

Our private fully self contained cottage is well equipped but still offers a very homely relaxing feel and sleeps 5 comfortably. Cook up a gourmet meal or enjoy something simple as you unwind on the deck whilst gazing out onto the native bush with the farm animals grazing the hills. Spend your evenings outside watching the stars, or cosy up to the fire with a hot drink and movie.

To ensure you have a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of life, there is no wifi or cell phone reception.

Should it be the season help yourself to the fruit trees near the cottage. If you’re a keen fisherman, the local river has a bounty of brown and rainbow trout, so bring your rod and you might be having fresh fish for dinner.

• Full Bathroom facilities (including shower, vanity, flushing toilet & washing machine)

• Tea, coffee and local Manuka honey sourced from beehives on Pakira

Our Cottage is fully fenced with your own private parking at the front - it is totally private, is accessed off the main tarseal driveway and is exclusively for your use only during your stay. The main homestead that your hosts Annemarie and Fraser live in, is nearby should you need anything during your stay.

Pakira is located directly on State Highway 4, a main highway of New Zealand.

Just 50kms from Whanganui and 40kms from Ohakune, you’ll find supermarkets in both towns to stock up on treats for your stay. Plus shops, cafes and much more. Both towns offer great attractions and eateries, find out more here.
